Grant research

We would be happy to advise you in person on currently open or permanently available grant programs. If you describe your project idea to us or tell us the general areas of focus, we will research current opportunities for submitting an application on your behalf. Involve us in your grant application planning and get in touch with us.

If you would like to actively search for current calls for proposals yourself, the following links will take you directly to the latest calls from selected research funding agencies:

• Overview of federal funding advisory services (sorted by federal, state, and EU)
• Calls for proposals from federal ministries (sorted by subject area)
• Federal funding database (search form)
• Announcements from the German Research Foundation (DFG)
• European Union funding & tenders / go directly to keyword search
• Calls for proposals from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture
• Competitions and awards

You can also find a selection of relevant announcements in our FFI archive of the TUC mailing list “Research funding information” as well as in the FIT information service database.

In addition to current calls for proposals, many funding agencies also offer long-term research programs that can be searched for directly in the following databases:

• Federal
funding database: all programs funded by the federal government, the states, and the EU
• DFG
funding programs: programs of the German Research Foundation
• EU
  Participant Portal: all EU programs
• Research, international affairs, and knowledge transfer information service (FIT

When searching for a “research gap,” but also to describe the state of the art in a research proposal, the following databases of projects already funded by federal ministries, the DFG, and the EU are recommended:

• Federal
  funding catalog: federal-funded projects
• DFG GEPRIS
  : DFG-funded projects
